Luleå thrashed AIK and scored 13 goals

To say the least, Luleå made short work of AIK when the two teams clashed in the SDHL.

Norrbotten won 13-3 away from home.

– It’s good for self-confidence, says Emma Nordin from Lulea.

Reigning champion Luleå is a real nightmare opponent for AIK in the SDHL.

The last time the two teams met, the score was 10-1 in Luleå’s favor, but when the two teams met on Sunday, it was much more difficult for Gnaget.

After one period, the score was “only” 4-1, but in the second things really went away.

Six goals remained and before the third period began, the Norrbottoms reached double digits.

The match ended 13-3, with Linnea Johansson one of the standouts, who scored three goals and two assists in the crusher.

Linnea Johansson, Luleå's player, scored three goals.

Nine different scorers

After the match, Luleå’s Emma Nordin was not only satisfied with the total number of goals, but also with the number of scorers.

– It is clearly beneficial for self-confidence. I don’t have complete control, but there seem to be quite a few different goalscorers spread across the series as well, so that’s good, Nordin tells TV4 Play.

And Luleåcenter was exactly right. In total, there were nine different scorers, Nordine herself scoring one goal as she made it 12-3.

The win means Luleå continues their rise to the top, now 11 points ahead of Modou, who, however, have a game in hand.

On the other hand, AIK is in last place, and after 14 matches it has not scored any points.
