Sidney Crosby recorded his 13th career hat-trick in the NHL and posted a nine-game winning streak (seven goals, seven assists).
-We get into it more with every match. As a team, we know what our game should look like. It’s good to get out there and be able to play on instincts and read situations and find each other. Sidney Crosby says: We don’t have to think too much about the system or what we have to do.
On the other hand, Erik Karlsson has scored four goals and made seven assists in his last six matches.
“They played against each other a lot.”
Afterward, Sidney Crosby talked about how he and new acquisition Erik Karlsson got to know each other on the ice.
-Over time, you will get a feel for what players like to do. We’ve played enough against each other, and I think we know each other’s intentions. So I think it’s just about trying to see things the same way and then trying to get things done. I mean understanding each other is one thing, being able to get things done is another. “So I would love for us to be able to continue like this,” Sidney Crosby says.
Rickard Rakell and Marcus Pettersson also had an assist for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In total, Erik Karlsson has scored 15 points (five goals and ten assists) in his first 14 games with the new club and ranks fifth in scoring defensemen.
Currently he holds a scoring average of 81 points.
Last season there were 101 points for the San Jose Sharks.
