Brynäs IF sad.

One of the club’s biggest fans – Søren “Stice” Stillin – has died.

– I’ve seen him all over Sweden, says Stig “Stig” Salming to Sportbladet.

“Stisse” came from Karlskoga but fell to Brynäs in the 1970s when the club won five SM golds.

Although he still lived in Värmland, he was a fixture at the club’s home matches, becoming an iconic figure with his large beard and distinctive black, yellow and red hat.

He passed away on Friday at the age of 71.

– I’ve seen him all over Sweden. Fortunately, such people exist, or exist. “Musset” was wonderful. He was always nice to talk to. That was sad to hear, Stig “Stigge” Salming tells Sportbladet.

– Stisse has been a tremendous supporter in the wet and dry for a very long time in both home and away matches. His presence and support will be missed by all the players and all the leaders in and around Brynäs IF. Anders “Maskin” Carlsson says all his thoughts go to his loved ones.

“Drive from Karlskoga to every match”

Mats Naslund remembers how they used to stop by the deli that Stace ran in Karlskoga.

– When I stopped there to refuel, I thought a little about who he was, even in the bar he was wearing a Brinas hat and that was a bit unusual. He always attended our SC finals,” says Naslund.

-A great fan who always supported Brinas, no matter how things went for us. I remember where he always sat in Karlstadshallen. He is a true and committed supporter and it was a pleasure to talk to him,” says Tommy Godin.

Angie Hammerstrom also remembers Stacey:

-He always came to us before matches. He’s missing. Stisse was absolutely gorgeous as he sat and drove from Karlskoga to almost every match in Gävle. He says: Great brennaser.
