Örebro defeated Luleå at home in the SHL • Jonas Arntzen is out injured

Mario Kempe sent Jonas Arntzen out of the match.

The meeting with Lulia was for a long time a rather uneventful story. Örebro had made it 3-2 when Mario Kempe ran over goalkeeper Jonas Arntzen and then things got heated. Kempe was sent off for two minutes. Arntzen fell when he tried to get up but continued on to the goal. But shortly afterwards, a seemingly groggy Örebro goalkeeper entered the dressing room and handed the ball to Jonas Enroth.

Then he was angry at the end of the middle period. Örebro suffered several expulsions and reacted against Luleå:

I finally got to score on the power play

After 15 minutes, Örebro only had one shot on target, but two hit the crossbar.

First Jonathan Lekirimaki in the opener and then William Wickman exactly 15 minutes later and upon returning his cross shot Wickman was able to hit the first goal.

Incidentally, the assist on goal went to the returning Niklas Nilsson.

– It’s fun to be here, I miss playing in front of these good fans, Nelson says in an interview.

Speaking of returnees. Lulea’s equalizer came a few minutes later from former Örebrobaken Markus Hardegaard.

Örebro’s recent heavy trend is partly related to a very weak power play. Only one out-matched goal in their last eight matches. Now there were profits there through Mathias Brummé.

But when Örebro incurred a penalty kick for the team, Lulea made it 2-2 with the same style of play through Brendan Shenemin.

In the third period, Örebro punctuated the match, 3-2 becoming 5-2, with two goal strikes, first Matthias Broom and then William Wickman.
