New York. William Carlson once again shoots as sharply as he did in Season 1 in Las Vegas.
He scored his 11th goal of the season as the defending champions won the early final game of the series in Vancouver last night.
“It started well and I hope it continues in the same way,” says “Wild Bill” to Sportbladet after the 4-1 win.
It was the top two seeds in the Western Conference that met at Rogers Arena, so “early end to the series” is an absolutely true statement — and as has often been the case in the past, the Golden Knights have shown they have the ability to lift the duo from the dizzying cracks in The biggest games.
They put in a really solid effort, made sure the hot Canucks barely caught a break and won 4-1.
– It was a bit choppy at the end, so it was good to see that we could put on a really strong game for 60 minutes, says William Karlsson when we get to him after the final whistle.
– What did we do well? Well, I think we had good synchronization between defense and attack. We didn't give them much danger and when we had our chances we took advantage of them.
Yes, among others “Wild Bill” himself. In a strong match midway through the second half, he scored his eleventh goal this season. The 30-year-old from Marsta had an almost identical performance in his first season in the Nevada desert, when he stopped at 43 goals.
– Great, of course. It's started well and I hope it continues the same way.
