A six-year-old boy completed the marathon – power shared it

A six-year-old boy ran a marathon in the United States.

After the incident attracted attention on social media, authorities have now visited the boy’s family.

“This is a scary process,” the parents wrote on Instagram.

A little over two weeks ago, the Flying Pig Marathon was held in Cincinnati, Ohio.

What was so cool?

A six-year-old boy ran the entire marathon. According to his parents, Ben and Cammy Crawford, it took their son nearly nine hours to complete the 4.2 miles.

According to Ben Crawford, the son was bribed with Pringles chips to the end.

Usually, they distribute pringles after about 20 miles (3.2 miles). He had to struggle physically and wanted to take breaks every three minutes. When we finally got there seven hours later, we found an abandoned table and empty drawers. He cried and we were moving slowly, so I said I would buy two boxes (with Pringles) if he kept running,” the father wrote on Instagram.

Ben and Cammy Crawford had their son run a marathon that took nearly nine hours. Now parents are resisting criticism.

He received criticism from the participants in the Olympics

The event was noticed on social media and the parents were met with criticism, including by former Olympic participant Kara Goucher.

Child Protective Services (an authority that works for children’s safety) visited the family home and spoke to the children at home.

“This has to stop. Our kids have had mental breakdowns, but not from jogging, but from a crowd armed with the most famous jogger. They claim that letting kids run is offensive, but they don’t provide any facts,” the parents wrote on Instagram.

‘Never forced to finish’

According to the family, CPS received six reports due to the accident, with one claiming, among other things, that the six-year-old had been dragged on occasions and forced to run the race against his will.

“He was determined to complete the race and was not dragged or forced to finish. This process is very scary. It is sad that people draw conclusions from our lives by reading a fake address, while we work hard to keep our home safe for our children,” they wrote.
