AIK beat IFK Norrköping in the first Henok Goitom match

Henok Guytom could not have wished for a better start as an AIK coach.

His team defeated IFK Norrköping 4-2 away from home.

This is despite the fact that AIK played the majority of the match with 10 players.

Yacine Ayari was not the tallest player in the penalty area, but he gave AEK the lead in the 13th minute from a distance IFK Norrköping.

Ayari got the ball perfectly from the right corner of Vincent Till and headed in the first goal of the match.

AIK’s second and third goals came in the 36th and 38th minutes.

Nabil El-Bahoui – on his return from the start – Nicolas Stefanelli played 0-2 before lifting himself 0-3 over Oscar Jansson.

Vincent Thiel was sent off for a Dane header over Arnor Sigurdsson at the end of the first half but AEK held onto their lead in the second half.

Goitom’s first match

It became dramatic in extra time when Arnor Sigurdsson parried in the 90th minute and Mike Sima headed another goal.

AIK played with nine players as the team made all their substitutions when Sichenje Collins came out faltering but AIK still won 4-2. When IFK Norrköping sent the entire team into a corner kick, Erick Otieno was given a clear path toward an open goal and managed to put the ball in.

AIK’s win came despite the fact that John Guedetti was completely absent from the match squad and despite the fact that Sebastian Larsson started the match off the bench.
