The athletic director had to leave
Henrik Jurelius fired from AIK.
The club announced on their website that the sporting director would be leaving with immediate effect.
– We are now at the point where we need to make a change, says Chairman Robert Falk.
Henrik Jurelius took over as sporting director at AIK in April 2020. But now he has to leave the club. AIK wrote on its website that the board made the decision and that it was based on “evaluation of sporting activities”.
– Henrik Jurelius has been a loyal employee of AIK Football for over ten years and his work for the club should be highly valued. We have now reached the situation where we need to make a change in the leadership of the men’s team sporting activities and I would like to thank Henrik for his efforts at AIK Football and the way he has represented us during his long time at the club, says AIK Football Chairman Robert Falcon.
“love every minute”
AIK Chairman Manuel Lindberg will take over as interim sporting director until a regular replacement is found.
– I loved every minute and would look back on the time with great pride. There is a core strength in AIK with potential, competence and a true love for the club. There is a lot of foundation in place and it would be great to be able to follow the development with all of you from the sidelines.
