The first loss of the season was a crushing blow.

AIK won the tennis figures 6-0 in Småland.

Four straight wins and top spot in the Swedish League. Nybro Vikings have made a great start as newcomers after 14 years outside Sweden’s second highest league.

But at home to AIK, it was a complete stalemate on Wednesday evening.

AIK went 6-0 over Smålands and Canadian Branden Truock, who had scored three points in his first three games, had a hat-trick.

Hat-trick in 40 minutes

Newcomer Troock, from HC Banska Bystrica in Slovakia, scored two of his three goals on the power play. The hat-trick was completed after just 40 minutes of play.

– It’s nice to have an evening like this, it doesn’t happen very often. He says pucks came in today.

Home team goalie Tex Williamson had a tough night in goal and had to watch Tom Hedberg and Zion Nebek fill in the third period.

AIK started with just one opening victory. After conceding 12 goals in three matches, Antoine Bibeau kept a clean sheet for the visitors.

The only drawback to the Stockholm Cup was that William Ignberg Nilsson had already received a penalty in the match after a challenge on Jesper Mångs.
