Comment on last year’s EC final
A little over a year ago, Åke Unger commented on the EC Final in football.
Now Sportbladet can reveal that the veteran has been kicked out of Qatar’s restroom.
My advice: Call my managers and ask them, Unger tells Sportbladet.
Åke Unger was the main commentator on TV4 during the European Football Championship last summer.
The 59-year-old commented, among other things, on Sweden’s matches as well as one of the semi-finals and final with expert Hasse Backe.
But according to Sportbladet sources, Unger is now set to attend the restroom in Qatar.

He himself is reticent when we get to him.

But none of Eric Westberg, sports director of C More and TV4, was particularly keen to talk about the poke.
“We haven’t reported our lineup in the restroom yet. Until then, I don’t have any comments. That is, when it’s communicated, I’m available for questions,” he replies in a text message.

According to our information, Unger will be replaced by Lena Sundqvist, 37, who commented on the women’s EC for the channel last summer. She went to Qatar as a commentator with Lasse Granqvist, 54, while Adam Benthorpe commented on matches ‘out of the tube’ from Stockholm.
There are many indications that Hannah Marklund and Hussey Baki will be assistants on site in Qatar, just as they did during the European Commission last year. Olof Lunde and Justin Dallen are also going to Qatar.
Frida Nordstrand will become a studio broadcaster in Stockholm and it remains to be seen which experts surround her.
