Bigger goals and “hockey penalties”.
These are two suggestions from Alexei Lala for improving football.
Now the expert is being seen on social media.
Former NFL player and now punter Alexi Lalas made a swipe on his chin — and rightly so.
The former player — who, with long red hair and a goatee, was the name of a big poster on the US national team during the 1994 World Cup — tweeted and asked the question of how he should act to improve soccer.
His suggestion:
Make the goals bigger
Award two points for goals outside the penalty area
Aviation penalties
kick-in instead of a throw-in
Expulsions are like hockey where players can return to the field after a penalty kick has been taken
The offside rule is only applied to the last third
When the ball touches a hand or arm, it is a hand, no matter what

anger.
“Why are you so obsessed with changing a sport we’ve loved for so many years,” one user wrote according to the Daily Mail.
“Shut up. You played the World Cup but you know less about football than my uncle who didn’t even watch a game,” wrote another.
Lalas had to stand up for himself and the critics answered:
“The sport has changed many times in many different ways over the past 100 years. The changes have been made by people who had the courage to believe they could improve the game, which they did.”
The 52-year-old was the expert on Fox during the World Cup in Qatar. He played for the USA national team between 1991 and 1998, with four appearances in the 1994 World Cup finals on home soil.
