Stressed and injured Malmo FF will play in the cup final against Hammarby?
No, not if you ask Coach Milosevic.
– Everyone is ready, everyone can play, says the Malmö coach.
The last time Milos Milojevic was on Tele2 (with Malmö FF), the coach had trouble even getting a team together at the Allsvenskan meeting. Ahead of tomorrow’s cup final, the coach has received a major new interest, to the delight of the great Malmö fans:
It will be difficult to get the team out this time. Everyone is ready, everyone can play. There is no player who does not want to play the cup final, Milojevic says.
There are two teams with completely different starting points that make up the cup final. Hammarby leads the Allsvenskan while Malmö FF loses three straight back losses and a long list of injuries last month. But at the semi-final press conference, Milojevic gave a big message of joy to Malmö supporters.
Six out of eleven players have not trained for more than a week but are ready. Everyone is ready and it makes me happy.
‘We’ll have more chance’
When asked if Milojevic would be careful with players who have come back from injury or if there was a chance of winning their first gold in the cup since 1989, the answer was clear.
We will have more chances with the players. Milojevic says there is only one match left because it’s a holiday and there is a title at stake.
Hammarby is the champion of the cup, plays at home and enters the final with great self-confidence, but to call themselves the favourites, neither the players nor the coach Marti Cifuentes agreed.
– I don’t believe in this with the favourites or not, we will play the match in a modest way. Sifuentes says I have great respect for Malmo.
That injuries would affect Malmö FF Abbe Khalili also did not buy:
– They have a very wide squad, they could have played with two different elves. We know we meet a really good team, but at the same time we also know how good we are, says Khalili.
