Allsvenskan: Hammarby’s Dennis Collander has a knee injury

Hammarby can do without Dennis Colander for a long time.

The 20-year-old suffered a knee injury.

– In no case will he play this week, says coach Marty Cifuentes.

Young midfielder Denis Colander, 20, has so far made five appearances for the Allsvenskan side since his move from Örebro, having missed the start of the season due to injury fears. After the summer break, Colander started two Hammarby matches.

Now, however, he could go around for a while.

After training on Sunday at the Tele2 Arena, coach Marti Cifuentes confirmed that he will be able to dispense with the midfielder who has suffered a knee injury.

– He had a feeling we don’t think it would be much. But when we checked, it’s a knee injury. We still need to do more research before we know how long it will go. In any case, Sifuentes says he won’t be playing this week.

– We’ll see if it’s only a few weeks or more.

HTFF talent can get the chance

Collander is far from the only player Cifuentes can manage without until Monday’s match against IFK Gothenburg.

Richard Maguar is struggling with injuries and Oliver Dauphin is still on his way back. Edvin Kurtulus and Lorette Sadiko, two important defensive players, have both been suspended for yellow cards.

– He’s not in good shape. We have some damage. We sold Mayckel and Williot. The team is weak now. But there is quality in HTFF. Players who showed in the first match that they pay to get a chance with us.

Looks like there will be HTFF players playing tomorrow?

– Yes, most likely. We have 15-16 first-team players available this way. In rehearsals, they showed (HTFF talents) that they wanted to participate and compete.
