Andreas Isaksson leaves his job as goalkeeper coach for Djurgården’s women’s team in the Allsvenskan.
According to Sportbladet info, the former national team star has become very present as a goalkeeper coach for the BP men’s team in Allsvenskan – where his close friend Olof Mellberg is one of the two head coaches.
Andreas Isaksson has played 135 matches for Djurgården’s men’s team in the Allsvenskan and won two SM golds in 2002 and 2003. He also won the Swedish Cup in 2002 and 2018. Isaksson is also considered one of Sweden’s all-time best goalkeepers when he also played for clubs such as Rennes, Juventus, Manchester City and Eindhoven Eindhoven and Turkey, Qasim Pasha, and he played 133 international matches for the men’s national team.

After he finished his career at Djurgården in 2018, he became the goalkeeper coach at second-division team Fagersta Södra and in April 2022, he stepped in as the new goalkeeper coach at Djurgården in Damallsvenskan.

According to Sportbladet’s information, he is now in high demand for a role as a goalkeeper coach in the BP men’s team in Allsvenskan, where his close friend Olof Mellberg is one of the two head coaches.
