Anna Hammar will referee Hockeyallsvenskan next season.
The 27-year-old, who is based in Stockholm, was named to the referee line-up.
– I can’t really understand it, says Hamar.
Hockeyallsvenskan directed his referee team for the next season.
Behind the regular team is a group of trained referees who will be allowed to test the referee in the second highest league.
Among them is Anna Hammer as a written judge. She previously ruled six seasons at Hokitatan.
Thus, she became the first woman to rule a very high rank in the men’s chain system.
Anna Hammer refereed the Women’s Olympic Final in February and she is truly a shining star among the women judges not only in Sweden but all over the world. Now she will be the first Swedish women’s elite hockey player on the men’s side which is of course a lot of fun and we hope to inspire all the girls who rule, says referee Bjorn Wittergren.
– I hope the focus will also end on what you do on the ice because this is a really good, professional judge who really deserves to be successful.
“I can’t really understand it”
Hammer himself lyrics about getting a higher chance in the soap opera system.
– It’s an incredibly fun feeling, which I can’t really fathom. It has always been a goal to be able to referee at Allsvenskan, so this is a big intermediate goal in my career. It’s been a long way here but seems like the right move.
What are your goals?
– I really want to take a regular place in allsvenskan hockey. I am looking forward to this opportunity and will try to enjoy it.
What is the biggest difference between the series?
– It will be a faster and more skilled game, but also framing matches with TV broadcasting, framing and club commitment, but that’s only positive.
