Annette Borjesson, 68, has been involved from the start when it comes to women’s football in Sweden. In 1973, Sweden played its first women’s international, and Annette Borjesson has been a standout player in the national team for over ten years.

Börjesson won EC gold with the national team in 1984 and also fought for players to receive compensation for lost income from the Swedish Football Association in connection with international matches.

Honorary Award for Annette Borgesson

During her active career, Börjesson started a magazine about women’s football and after shelving the shoes, she became an expert for Radiosporten, which she is to this day.

Now the great football pioneer has received the honorary award of the Football Channel.

– There is no doubt that Annette Borjesson has made great efforts for Swedish football and therefore will receive the Football Channel Honorary Award in 2022, says Football Channel columnist Olof Lunde in the justification.

Annette Borgesson was moved when she received the award.
