Criticized when Arsenal beat Manchester United
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been warned against Manchester United.
Quite right, according to United icon Gary Neville.
– He runs up and down the sidelines like a madman, he says.
Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2 after a great drama in the final minutes.
But one of the biggest talking points of the evening really happened in the first half, when Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was cautioned in the 34th minute.
Saw Gary Neville
The Spaniard was criticized for his wild body language on the touchline and when Bukayo Saka was brought down by Luke Shaw, he made heavy gestures. Referee Anthony Taylor quickly received a yellow card.
Quite right, according to TV expert Gary Neville.
– It’s a free kick, no problem. I continue. The former United player tells Sky Sports he makes it look as if he jumped the tackle with two legs.
“You can not do that”
Former Arsenal defender Matthew Upson suspected the referee would be watching Arteta extra even before the match.
– He was amazing in the game against Newcastle (3 January) and went really far. You can’t do that in front of the referee – or anyone else for that matter.”
After the match, Arteta was asked if he could learn anything from the warning.
– You can always get better at life, he replied with a smile at Sky Sports.
