The Chicago Blackhawks were edged away by the Arizona Coyotes.

Swede Arvid Söderblom allowed seven steals in the 1-8 loss.

– It’s our fault, says Seth Jones.

It started out well for Chicago.

The game was just 28 seconds old when Kevin Korcinski played through midfield to the super-talent Connor Bedard who scored with a volley.

1-0 in favor of the Hawks – but then the score went downhill.

Swedish nightmare period

The Arizona Coyotes equalized two minutes later through Michael Carcone, and continued to play inspiringly in front of their home crowd at Mullet Arena. The team went into the break with a 3-1 lead.

The second period was one long nightmare for Chicago’s Swedish goalkeeper Arvid Soderblom, who had to recover the ball from the goal four more times.

After Liam O’Brien forced a rebound to make it 7-1, Chicago coach Luke Richardson stepped in and replaced him.

“Played like crap”

The match ended 8-1 to Arizona and after that the visitors defended their Swedish goalkeeper.

– This is our mistake. “We played like shit,” says star quarterback Sett Jones, according to The Athletic.

– It hurts. I hate losing, especially like this. “I hope everyone takes this a little personally and understands that we have to hold ourselves to a higher standard than this,” says veteran Nick Foligno.

The Chicago Blackhawks have three wins and six losses and are last in the Central Division.
