It was presented on Sunday morning.
A little over an hour later, 22-year-old Bavli Vajik made his first practice in a Hammarby jersey.
Hammarby plays attractive football, the defender tells Sportbladet.
defender? Or rather a midfielder?
What a position like the new Hammarby acquisition Pavel Vagic Intended to be used on a stone that has not yet been repaired.
What is clear, however, is that it is precisely this defensive game that he honed during his year at Trondheim and Rosenborg.
– I played a lot in midfield there. He’s the most defensive I’ve developed after his first training session as a Hammarby player, says Vagic.
Don’t want to talk about other clubs
After being educated at Malmö FF and out on various loans, Vagic moved to Rosenborg in August of last year. Less than a year later, he returned to Sweden, but in a Hammarby jersey.
Why Hamrabi?
The first contact was very good and I’ve seen them play football all season. Attractive football. The football that suits the person I want to play.
Were there any other clubs in the picture?
– I’m in my donkey. I’m here now, Vagic answers succinctly and firmly.
Feel no pressure
As previously revealed by Sportbladet regarding the transfer, the 22-year-old is one of the club’s most expensive deals ever, with a price tag of around seven million crowns.
Does it give extra pressure?
– Humps? No, it’s football. I play football because I love it.
Something he also appreciated was recently called up to the national team. This is in connection with the meeting of the League of Nations in June.
– Self-confidence was on top of that. Proof that they made it on the field, says the 22-year-old.
“Look, here they are real fans”
Although he had his first practice session with the team on Sunday, the debut will be delayed in the game. With the Swedish transfer window only opening in less than a week, Paveli Vagic will follow Monday’s game against IFK Gothenburg out of the squad.
How do you think it will feel when you step here in front of a crowd for the first time?
– I think it would be magical. We Swedes in Norway often watched matches and then showed the Norwegians: “Look, here they are real fans.”
