Munich. In EC where many of the Swedish participants performed poorly, Bianca Salming did just the opposite.
It was eighth place – and best new character.

Cheered by the whole family in the stands Bianca Salming The European heptathlon finished fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:11.85.
That means she moved up two places and finished eighth overall – and that she hit a new personal best with a total score of 6,185.
After that, the 23-year-old was delighted with delight.
– Those were the two goals I had previously set: to get to the top eight and the “Persian”. For me, it is very important to succeed in what you set as a goal and to perform when it matters most, she says afterwards.

Immediately after the 800m, Salming was a little disappointed that she didn’t quite make it to her personal dream of 6200.
But it wasn’t long before slight disappointment turned into absolute joy.
– I just thought: “Damn it, Bianca, now you have to tighten.” You succeeded in achieving two goals, so now you have to enjoy your time.”
