Boré-Salming’s family at the premiere
Large portions of the Salming family were in attendance at the world premiere.
They were looking forward to “Börje – Journey of the Legend”.
“It will be fun to see all the stories I’ve been told,” says Bianca Salming.
On Tuesday evening, the premiere of the drama series “Börje – Journey of a Legend” based on the life of Börje Salming was held.
On the set of the show at the Södra Theater in Stockholm were, among others, several people from the hockey legend’s family.
-It feels so exciting! “We’ve watched some clips, so I’m really looking forward to it,” says his daughter, Bianca Salming.
– I’m a little excited to see what they achieve in the field of cinema, says Borje-Salming’s brother Stig.
“Feeling a little sad”
Stig Salming expects to see himself in the series.
– Maybe you should keep your eyes open and check. He says: Somewhere I will appear, I understand.
How do you feel about it?
-It feels a bit strange. I’ve never been in a situation like this before. It’s a bit funny, but at the same time a bit sad since Bourret isn’t here and he gets to experience this. It is of course very boring.

Pia, Bourret-Salming’s widow, was looking forward to the premiere.
She says: – My whole family and I were looking forward to this day.
What do you expect from the series?
– A difficult question, but it must depict Bouret’s life, of course.
Did you involve the family in this process?
– Even though I had no role, the entire Warner Bros (film company) allowed us as a family to participate and we always had to follow the process. They were absolutely fantastic, I must say.
Is there anything specific that you felt was important to highlight in the series?
– Above all, how tough it is in the NHL during this time. How many beatings did you have to take, how many people had concussions, maybe but for life. Fortunately, hockey has changed for the better.

Bianca Salming was looking forward to seeing her father’s life on the big screen.
“I wasn’t part of that part of my father’s life, so it will be interesting to see all the stories I’ve been told throughout these years,” she says.
– I’m sure it will probably be as my father wanted.

– I think Walter did a really great job, and everyone involved in the film. I know they are all wonderful people and that my father loved them very much. “So I think it’s going to be great,” says Bianca Salming.
