Prolific goalscorer Mix Endrassis played ten World Cups and two Olympic Games with Latvia.

It was he who scored the game-changing 2-1 goal in a 3-1 win over Tre Kronor in the quarter-finals in front of hysterical fans in Riga.

There were also, among others, eleven KHL season matches mainly for Dinamo Riga and last season’s Bundesliga matches Schwenninger Wild.

The last player on the team

The contract is written for next season and Brynäs points out that it is the last piece of the puzzle in building the team ahead of Hockeyallsvenskan.

– Miks Indrasis has been at the highest level for a long time and bringing in a player of his caliber is very important to our ambitions to regain our place in the SHL. The player filling the last piece of the puzzle was meant to be another player in the squad, and now we have the chance to bring in a top player from Europe, says Johan Allsen.

Hockey fever created this spring

In the WC, where Latvia led 2-1 in the semi-final against Canada and won the bronze medal game against the USA with a 4-3 lead in overtime, Miks Indrasis was one of the leading players.

The experience of playing in Sweden has always been attractive, to have the opportunity now at a club like Brynäs seems very inspiring. I am a player who always wants me to do the best for the team,” says Mix Endrassis.

Of the WC champions, there is also center Rodrigo Abols in Rögle and defender Kristians Rubins in Modo.
