Brynäs won and lost HV71 in the lower SHL battle • Drama

HV71 lost against Växjö

Växjö had defeated HV71 at the same time Brynäs beat Skellefteå.

The battle for the bottom is now even fiercer.

– Every match is very important for us, says coach Johan Lindbom VC Moore.

The HV71 model starter had nothing to oppose in the Småland derby away to Växjö and lost fair and square with 3–0, the latter being in an open square.

– There was nothing to talk about, it was better than us. I guess we’ll have to investigate ourselves tomorrow. We talk to the team and see what happened there today. Every game is very important for us, says coach Johan Lindbom at C. More.

Skellefteå was defeated

For Jönköping, it was a slam dunk in the bottom battle with seven games left to play.

Since Brynäs won the parallel against league leaders Skellefteå in Västerbotten, the battle for the bottom is getting more intense.

Dmytro Timashov became the champion in overtime, 2-1, when he slid the puck past Linus Söderström through Linus Lindström’s skate.

Same point

The victory meant that HV71 and Brynäs were on the same score.

– I just tried to score it in the goal and then went skating. Very pleasant. We struggled in several matches and couldn’t get the result. Now it’s good to get two points against Skellefteå, says the match hero.

Timashov also scored the first goal in the match.
