Called Alize Cornet by the house audience – in tears

France’s Alizee Cornet, 32, had to break into the third round against Chenwen Cheng due to a lack of muscle.

Then she was booed by her home crowd.

It was more painful than the injury, she says with tears in her eyes at the subsequent press conference.

In the final set against Jelena Ostapenko in the second round, Alizee Cornet suffered a small muscle strain in his thigh.

She managed to win to big cheers anyway but was hesitant for a long time to play against Qinwen Zheng but decided to try.

However, it didn’t work at all. Zing took a 6-0, 3-0 lead when Cornet was forced to throw in the towel.

– I couldn’t move, I knew it would be but I wanted to try because it’s my character, she says according to L’Equipe.

“Do not understand that they dare”

But she did not receive any additional support from the home audience. Instead, an estimated 40 people shouted in Cornet when the match broke. This could be the last French Open match ever.

– It would be sad to stop like this, but I don’t know. What I don’t understand is how people dare provoke me when I’m on the road. The French public surprises me sometimes, she says with tears in her eyes and continues.

Almost hurt more than injury. We’re not going to generalize, it’s about a click, but frankly it sounds like some kind of abuse. It is bad because it is unfair and injustice is painful. Most people may understand what is going on but a bunch of idiots break my heart.
