Canadian Zack Maggood is ready to play for Dorgarden in Hockeyallsvenskan

Djurgården secured his spot with Canadian Zack Magwood.

The 25-year-old from Krefeld Pinguine in the German second division will be a substitute for Noah Östlund.

– We looked for a center who would love to be a right-handed shooter, but above all we prioritized attacking qualities, says Director of Sport KG Stuppel.

Djurgården now has 13 strikers under contract for the next season in Hockeyallsvenskan.

The centers appear to be Marcus Kruger, Ludwig Reinsfeldt, Emil Berglund and the new Zack Maggood.

The Canadian can be positioned as an offensive second position behind Marcus Kruger.

There was a vacancy when 19-year-old great talent Noah Östlund finally picked Swedish champion Växjö in the SHL.

– We’ve been looking at the heart of the medium for a while, considering the high risk that Noah Ostlund would disappear. We’ve had good words about Zack Maggood as a person and as a character. He was born in 1998, which suits us well because we have some older players in the squad, says KJ Stubel.
