Carl Johan Persson from H & M buys a major agent company in Swedish football

Billionaire Carl Johan Persson has become an increasingly big footballer.

The H&M chairman bought the agency, Footnation.

Among the clients we find Isaac Kess Tellin, Mustafa Zidan and Darejan Boyanik.

Today, Mustapha Zidane, Edvin Kurtulus and Joel Assoro were named to the national team when Jan Andersson introduced his squad on the January tour.

Then there might have been a little extra cheering in H&M’s head office, at least in Chairman Karl-Johan Persson’s room.

Let’s explain why:

Yesterday, Dagens Industri was able to tell Persson, who has a keen interest in football and is often seen at matches of his favorite Djurgården team, to buy Footnation, one of Sweden’s largest football agent companies, from agent Miro Jaganjac. Persson does this by investing a large number of millions in the agent company Wesport, which is managed by Nina Wennerström and where he is already a partner, which is officially buying out of Footnation.

According to Dagens Industri, the purchase price ends at SEK 20-30 million.

Wesport has mainly represented hockey and tennis players in the past, but now clearly wants to become a bigger part of the soccer industry. According to Sportbladet’s information, Jaganjac will remain as an agent, but now at Wesport.

Among the Footnation players, in addition to the new national team trio mentioned above, we also find Allsvenskan profiles such as Isaac Kiese Thelin, Darijan Bojanic, Jacob Ortmark and Abbe Khalili.
