Connor Bedard scores again against the Vegas Golden Knights

Break the wing of the mighty

The Vegas Golden Knights have never lost a game.

Then Connor Bedard showed the way for the Chicago Blackhawks.

– Now I scored two goals against them, says the scorer after the 4-3 win.

The visiting Blackhawks fell behind 1-2 late in the first period when veteran Nick Foligno chased down a puck and got club tipped off on it.

It was a perfect pass to Connor Bedard, who immediately fired the ball past Vegas goalkeeper Aden Hill.

“I had a really good pass and I was just trying to find a good position,” says the 18-year-old after his third goal of the season (his second against Vegas).

William Carlson’s scapegoat

Visitor Taylor Radish made it 3-2 in the third period, but Vegas star defender Shea Tudor equalized and forced overtime.

But there the Chicago Blackhawks were hotter.

Filip Kurashev scored for the visitors on the power play after Vegas’ William Karlsson was ejected for tripping.

First loss

The result marked Vegas’ first loss since the opening of the season. The defending Stanley Cup champions entered the game on a seven-game winning streak.

– We were sloppy with the puck all game, says Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy.

– Our game was not at the level of the National Hockey League, and this is what punished us.
