In the compilation, they take into account the growth, the number of followers, the amount of followers who interact with the account and report the value of each post to the companies that cooperate with the player.
The list refers to the period from August 2021 to July 2022 and shows that Cristiano Ronaldo increased his followers by about 47 percent. In all, the Portuguese star has 471 million followers – and they’re still the most followers of anyone on Instagram.
Significant increase last year
Ronaldo’s post has an average value of $3.5 million (equivalent to more than 35 million kroner), which can be compared to Messi’s 358 million followers and a net worth of 26 million kroner.
When it comes to the players who saw the biggest growth in the past year, the list is topped by 18-year-old Barcelona midfield talent Jaffe, who has more than five million followers, with a whopping 5,164 per cent increase over the time of the survey. It started in August 2021.
