Jönköping. A long rift has broken out between Victor Agdsel and Tommy Tekka.
Both the Färjestad striker and the HV71 striker received match penalties for the fight.
– They are powerful heavyweights, both over 190 cm tall, says expert commentator Almin Bibik on TV4.
Färjestad striker Patrik Lund caused a trip on HV71 defender Viktor Sjoholm.
Chief referees Christopher Holm and Alexander Osterberg signaled a two-minute sending off.
Victor Agdsel then completed the attack and finished against HV71 goalkeeper Johnny Ortio.
Tommy Tekka went after Viktor Ejdsel and there was a longer fight on the edge where no one wanted to give in or give up, and the referees also had difficulty intervening.
– It’s very difficult with penalty kicks. They wore gloves the entire time and no punches were thrown. Almen Bebek says two minutes each was enough.
He left in anger
Victor Agdsel shouted for a long time after the referees left without coming to him.
The official penalty period for the match was five minutes for fighting, plus 20 minutes for match misconduct.
The rivalry was already ignited after the incident with heated emotions on the ice and in the stands.
On the subsequent box play, Joel Kelman managed to reduce Farestad to 2–1.
HV71 took a 2-0 lead in the first period through the first goals from new acquisitions Oskar Stål-Lyrenäs and Henrik Borgström respectively.
After the penalty kick of the match, expulsions followed one another and Radan Lenk scored 3-1 on the power play.
The match is on.
