Women’s League to end on Saturday: ‘I’m counting on it’
The conclusion of the Women’s League on Friday stirred emotions among club fans.
Now, Sportbladet can reveal that the premium clubs have agreed to move their matches and make room for the women on Saturday.

A few weeks ago, Sport Bladet reported that there was a lot of anger among fan groups at several Swedish women’s clubs. The reason is that for the first time the league will be decided on a weekday, Friday 4 November.
Since the Superettan championship ended on Saturday and the men’s Allsvenskan race on Sunday the same weekend, there were no other options, the federation said.
Since then, work has continued in the background between the interest organizations Elite Soccer Ladies, EFD and Sef, Swedish Elite Soccer, to reach a compromise.

What was on the table was moving the final round of the Women’s League to Saturday, November 5th. However, there were some obstacles.
Brommapojkarna’s men’s and women’s team both have ground in the final round, which means two matches on the same day at the Grimsta IP in Stockholm.
Sportbladet can now reveal that Sef and EFD have found a solution.
Superettan clubs have agreed to move the match to 17.00 on Saturday. Then it works with EFD to play at 12.00. It is the proposal that the EFD will present to the union and request changes. We will support it, says Mats Enquist, general secretary at Sef.

The ball is now in the hands of the Swedish Football Association to accept the change. Final information will only come when the SvFF convenes the committee and reaches a decision.
Enquist is fully convinced that this will be the case.
– With this, we can probably all expect that this is how it will land.
What does it say about the union’s disagreement with the proposal?
– A little bit. I won’t prejudge what they say, but I would be very surprised if they have any opinions now that both Sef and EFD have agreed.
