Dino Bejanovic belongs to Ferrari and bets on Formula One in five years

Dino Bejanovic belongs to the Ferrari team and its academy. Leading the championship, he sees Formula 3 as the next step, followed by Formula 2. And then?

– The plan is Formula 1 at a maximum of five years, he says.

This means that there will be a Swedish driver in Formula 1 by 2027 at the latest.

Dino Bejanovic belongs to the Ferrari Drivers Academy. He is the first Swede in the Ferrari Drivers Academy. He is one of nine drivers supported on his way to Formula 1 and the group includes two female drivers, as well as Arthur Leclerc, the younger brother of Charles Leclerc and also Mick Schumacher, who is already driving his second season in Formula 1.

– This is where I want to go, and then we will see how long I need in the different seasons, says Dino Bejanovic.

In this week’s episode of Sportbladet’s F1 podcast, Plattan i Mattan, he provides unique insight into how he got to Ferrari’s factory in Maranello, and how he trains, lives and works to become the next Swedish driver in Formula 1.

Dino Bejanovic belongs to Ferrari Driver Academy

This year he dominated the Formula 3 European Regional Championship series from the Alps and the goal is to climb even further up that ladder towards the Royal Racing category and make it all the way with the help of Ferrari. It’s the same track as Charles Leclerc and Mick Schumacher, but Formula One drivers such as Sergio Perez and Lynne Stroll were previously part of the Ferrari Drivers’ Academy.

Formel 1 – Alpine vs Piastri and McLaren vs Ricciardo

Interest in F1 is growing, as evidenced by visitors in the stands and at The Paddock Club. During the second quarter of 2022, Formula 1 revenue increased 49% over the previous year. On both occasions, seven GP races were run.

The race continues between Oscar Piastre, Alpine, McLaren and Daniel Ricciardo. After the Hungarian Grand Prix, McLaren boss Andreas Seidl was said to have told Ricciardo that his time with the team was over and that he had to find a new team if he wanted to continue in Formula 1.

It would probably be the Alps, but the Alps on the other hand would be fighting for Oscar Piastre. Alpine team manager Otmar Szafnauer told Reuters that the team is likely to sue Piastr and take the matter to court. Szafnauer contacted the F1 Contract Recognition Board (CRB) last week:

– If the CRB says “Your license is only valid on Alpine” and then (Piastri) answers “That’s fine but I’ve never driven the car, I’m taking a break for a year”, then you have to go to the highest court for compensation, stable manager Szafnauer tells Reuters.

Alpine has invested a lot in Piastri, who has been a development driver with the team in recent years, and doesn’t want to let him go for free.

F1 is on hiatus until last weekend in August, but in IndyCar, the championship goes to the decider. There is now a heated debate between Marcus Ericsson and Romain Grosjean, among others
