Djurgården completed new ice rinks in Tallkrogen when Hovet . was demolished

It is now clear where Djurgården will go when Hovet is demolished.

Two new training halls will be built in Talkogen, five minutes from Globin.

A necessary decision for the future of the club and elite hockey in Stockholm, says sports director K.J. Stobel.

From the 2025/2026 season, the Globe will be the new main arena for Djurgården.

The court where Djurgården conducts its day-to-day business will now be demolished when a new training facility is ready.

For more than a decade, Djurgården has been searching for a new base of operations.

2000 spectators

The city of Stockholm has now given the go-ahead for long-term ownership of two new ice rinks with facilities at the former talkrogen ballpark along Nynäsvägen south of Stockholm.

The new headquarters for the men’s, women’s, junior and youth teams will be at the club.

One of the ice rinks will accommodate about 2,000 spectators and will be the main arena of the club’s women’s team at SDHL.

– Finally, we can have facilities in terms of our terms of operations similar to all the clubs in the SHL. The facility will, of course, mean a lot to our senior teams, but also to junior and youth activities, which will take two-thirds of the ice time, says KG Stoppel.

The globe is being reconstructed

The Globe stadium will be renovated in turn before the Ice Hockey World Cup in Stockholm and Herning in 2025.

Construction of the new facility is expected to begin in 2025 or 2026.
