It wasn’t the best, far from the coolest, and certainly not the loudest, but the Kderby was probably one of the most insulting derbies I’ve seen in a long time.

Outside The Globe I’d walk on a big pile of horse fouling, it’s happened before when I was playing ice hockey at Tingsred, Kaling, Duo and Osby, but then it wasn’t mainly because it was full of police riding outside the arena.
There was a commotion in the derby, someone at AIK’s heel tried to set the opponent’s flag on fire but nobody seemed to care much, the police came in and flagged and from the point of drop onwards it was very quiet in the stands.
The somewhat uneventful atmosphere — reminiscent of the Dalai Lama’s visit to the Globe in 1996 was due in part to AIK’s depleted heel department, in part to its inactivity in the regular season — spilled over into players on the ice who also did nothing to stir up the tension. Situations.

The home fans were delighted but the only real joy of competing in ice hockey is the joy of being injured, they did what they could to humiliate their defeated opponent with chants like “Are you going home now?” , “A worse team than Baggin” and “Mate Alba has no nose” But when it didn’t really matter, Carl Lindbom got out of his goal area, pucked into the backboard, looked up and hauled the ball 60 metres.

AIK managed 15 shots on goal in the final derby of the season, the play was weak and unimaginative for long periods and their division was one-sided far from chaotic.
It was a fairly smooth and dull match all round but apart from a certain amount of derby prestige, in all honesty there wasn’t much sport at stake this evening.
Djurgården could be the fourth, fifth or sixth in the series, or AIK the eighth, ninth or tenth.
An outsider and not a favourite
The Allsvenskan ice hockey regular season is, thankfully, five rounds away from finishing and considering the way AIK has looked for most of the season, it seems unlikely that these two teams will clash again.
Djurgården will go into the playoffs as an outsider rather than a favourite, the team has an injury list as long as a kitchen roll but a good goalkeeper and a good system in the game now.
In the long run, I still think they are too weak defensively, feel too neat in their game and seem to lack the awful aspect, which I think is essential in the Allsvenskan Hornet’s desperate ice hockey nest in the playoffs.
If we (the neutrals) have a little luck with the results in the end, and then with the strange choices of the play-off players, Djurgården and Södertälje could already face each other in the quarter-finals.
