Djurgården gets more tickets for the Conference League match against Gent

Hundreds of zoo fans have had their tickets canceled ahead of the game against Belgium’s Gent.

The day before the Conference League meeting, the Stockholm club now got more tickets.

After four points from two matches, Djurgorden will face Belgium’s Gent tomorrow, in the conference league group stage.

Many Stockholm fans wanted to travel to Belgium to watch the match, and the 1,007 tickets initially allocated to the away team were quickly snapped up. According to Djurgården, more than 700 seat tickets were subsequently purchased at the Ghent Stadium ahead of Thursday’s meeting – but those were canceled by the Belgian major club.

Then Djurgården tried to arrange more tickets – to no avail.

“The refusal is due to the fact that you cannot guarantee security inside the Glamco Arena because it is the so-called ‘open’ arena where only the visiting sections for fans are selected. The authorities further recommend that fans who do not have a match ticket should not travel to Belgium. Djurgården wrote on his website on September 23.

Get more tickets

A day before the FA Cup match, Djurgården brings a pleasant message to fans who did not get a ticket. Stockholm club got more tickets.

“When tickets for the first leg match against Gent were released, there were much more fans wanting to buy tickets than the 1,007 tickets allocated to us. Djurgarden and Ghent have been in dialogue since then and we have tried to get more tickets allocated to meet the demand that exists among our supporters. On Wednesday morning We learned that the dialogue, which also includes the Belgian police, has borne fruit.” Djurgorden writes in a statement.
