Djurgården’s new acquisition Jakub Bergström was hot against Eskilstuna.
The substitute scored two goals – and was a decimeter away from the hat-trick.
“They’re nice, I forget the first one but the second one was a great slide,” he told Discovery after the match.
Djurgården had no problems cleaning up Eskilstuna, winning 5-1.
But they started like this, and Djurgaard coach Thomas Lagerlof wasn’t particularly happy at half-time, when the score was 1-1.
– We start well offensively, but the defensive game was not present in the first quarter. It’s very slow, but we’re making quite a lot, even if it takes a long time, he told Discovery.
Target success for new acquisitions
In the first half, Joel Asuro ran a series of powerful strikes, all of which resulted in free kicks. After an hour of play, the forward was intercepted again when he was released. A penalty kick and a red card for Aliu Yakubu and Victor Edwardson scored 2-1.
Replacement new acquisition Jacob Bergstrom does not want to be worse. With 20 minutes left, he scored his first Djurgårdsträyan goal, and from the momentum alone, another new acquisition, Wilmer Odefalk, scored 4-1.

But Bergstrom wasn’t done. The striker hit his second goal, and before the final whistle he came close to completing a hat-trick.
– They are nice, I forgot the first one but the second one was a great slice. We’re satisfied with that, Bergstrom tells Discovery and continues.
– They were a lesser man, so you have to take it for what it is. But I’m happy to score goals, that’s what you live for. Or… I guess I live for more than just scoring goals, but you always make me happy.
