Djurgården lives up to its promise by Isaac Alemayehu

Isak Alemayehu made his Allsvenskan debut in the last game of the season.

Now the 16-year-old giant talent has signed an A-team contract with Djurgården.

“I had a few options but enjoyed myself very well during my time at Djurgården,” says Alemayehu.

Djurgården was around during the winter transfer window. So far, the club has signed Carlos Moros Gracia, Oliver Berg and Jacob Bergstrom, as well as BP talents Wilmer Odevalk, Theo Bergvall and Lucas Bergvall.

It is now clear that Isaac Alemayehu will also remain at the club. The 16-year-old made his debut when Djurgården met Mjällby in the final round and became one of the youngest ever Allsvenskan debutants.

“Good feeling”

Midtjylland and North Zealand were both looking for Alemayehu, but now the talent opted to sign an A-team contract with Djurgården.

The previous contract expired next year, but now he has extended it for three years.

– It feels so great. It’s a dream to be able to sign my first A-team contract, especially for Djurgården. I feel an incredible love for the association, says Alemayehu in a press release and continues:

– I had a few options but enjoyed myself very well during my time in Djurgården and it fit in really well with the group in Kaknäs. It is very evolving for me to play with the older players in the team who are experienced and learn a lot from them. So Djurgården is the right environment for me to develop in and that’s why I chose to play here.
