Djurgarden match canceled – sickness cases pending

Djurgården medical team with defibrillators after cases of illness in the stands during the football match in Allsvenskan

Degerfors / Stockholm. Unpleasant scenes unfolded in Diggerforce.

The match was paused after Djurgården’s supporters called out a pacemaker in the far division.

– The situation must be under control. It’s very sad that this has happened, Magnus Eriksson tells Discovery Plus in the first half.

A large group of Djurgård supporters descended on the remote Stora Valla section to get attention.

They shouted for a pacemaker and the match was stopped.

– It’s a hard feeling. You don’t really know what happened. We should hope he’s healthy, says Degerforce Omar Farag at Discovery Plus.

“Just football”

The person left the remote section on a stretcher and after an eight-minute hiatus, the match was able to resume.

– It’s only football. When we talk about people collapsing in yards and needing help, it’s clearly bigger,” says Magnus Ericsson.

Sportbladet was in contact with Djurgården press officer Olle Arnell in the first half.

“Just heard from me and the person is fine under the circumstances. We will update via Twitter primarily on our SLO account and then RT or our private information from the official account.”

Match is underway and Dijerfors leads 2-0 – text is updated!
