Djurgården set off for Värnamo after a big mistake

It was not the 10th win in a row for Djurgarden.

Stockholm ‘only’ drew 0-0 away to Varnamo – after a huge waste by Edvardsen.

– He will put that on every day of the week, says Discovery expert Alexander Aksin.

Gustav Wickheim may have hit the post, but the first half was no further than that for the away team. Varnamo created several dangerous chances to score after Djurgorden was careless in the passing game.

We have to go fast, it’s going very, very slowly. We are very strong. It should go up two levels,” Thomas Lagerlöf told Discovery after the first half break.

Edvardsen missed an open target

In the second half, Djurgården pressed more and more, and the Stockholm team had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 64th minute. Joel Asuro ran down the right wing before playing against Victor Edvardsen in the penalty area. The striker had an open goal, but he did not get a good hit and the ball was sent for a touch-kick.

Poor finishing by Edvardsen and he knows it too. Alexandre Aksin, a Discovery expert, says he’ll put that on every day of the week.

Few more chances to score did not come, and the match finally ended without goals. Djurgården, who has racked up nine consecutive competitive wins before today’s game, leads Allsvenskan by one point over Hammarby. Värnamo is 13th in the table.

Edvardsen was responsible for a major waste in the match against Djurgården.
