Djurgården talks about Hacken’s weaknesses before the summit

Big loss against Degerfors recently in Allsvenskan.

Now the league final, European matches and the derby are waiting in a week.

Marcus Danielson says it’s better for us to have tough matches.

There’s a lot at stake when Djurgården faces Häcken at Tele2 Arena tonight. Despite a heavy 3-0 loss to Degerfors, the Blues still top Allsvenskan, with the same Häcken points.

– It would be so much fun to play a finale of the series in front of booths packed with everything it takes. It will be a very difficult match, but I think it is better for us to have only difficult matches, he says Marcus Danielson.

Better than facing the Degers and the other bottom teams?

– Yes I think so. You get more for free with framing, mood, and what the match means. It’s a very important match that could ultimately be decisive throughout the season. There is a big difference between winning and losing.

“Match the picture that Häcken doesn’t like”

When Djurgarden and Haken met at Braveda this summer, it was a 2-1 win away from home. Coach Thomas Lagerlöf is hoping for a similar match picture now.

– It’s a great football team and it’s incredibly good going forward. But there are match photos that Häcken doesn’t like either, so we have to hope we can get the match photo so they don’t fit.

How do you want to look?
We want to be able to control the game from time to time, but we know they are so good that they will be able to control the ball as well and then we have to do what is necessary to prevent them from getting into dangerous areas.

‘has weaknesses’

According to Danielson, Djurgården identified Häcken’s weaknesses.

– It is a skilled team and therefore it is important that we are in our place and we can eliminate their strengths and exploit their weaknesses. We’ve watched it and know how they play. They are skilled, but they have weaknesses like the rest of us. They like to apply high pressure, and if we can get out of that pressure there are plenty of spaces for detours, he says.

Djurgården will have to dispense with Elias Anderson, who is stopped by Haken, or else all players from the Gent team at the latest will be available. How the team will face as the big games loom with Gent’s return on Thursday and the AIK derby next Sunday.

– It obviously affects, but it will still be identical after another. You don’t know in advance which player will bear the brunt of the match or who will take the hit. With one eye you look at the match and have a little idea, but that can change quickly, says Lagerlöf.
