Rönning, known as a tough goalkeeper, is vocal about his shortcomings.
– Everyone who follows Elfsborg knows that my feet are something I can improve on. But I will not hide from situations like this, I will try to hit these balls. Especially now in a training match. I’d rather do it today than premiere in Allsvenskan.
Troubled Times: “Adversity Has Come”
Rönning had his breakthrough in the fall of 2019 when he backstabbed veteran Kevin Stuhr Ellegaard. For two seasons he was considered one of the best goalkeepers in the league, but lately it has become more difficult. Hákon Valdimarsson entered and overtook Rönning, who was on the bench more often.
– Since I came to Elfsborg, things have gone downhill. Now there have been setbacks. But this is part of the sport. You have to take it for what it is. I’m going to work harder and show that I’m the one to play. If things get tough, you should try to turn it around.
