Emerson Royal was robbed

Football star Emerson Royal, 23, had an armed robbery at his home in Brazil.

28 shots were fired when the Tottenham defender managed to escape.

The attempted robbery occurred Friday evening, Brazilian time, after Emerson Royal left a nightclub in São Paulo.

“It was a difficult moment, but now I am going home and resting,” Royal himself said after reporting the incident to the police during the night, Globo Esporte wrote.

The newspaper wrote that Emerson should have kept Emerson at gunpoint, demanded a gold chain, and kept watch. Otherwise, he will be killed.

Rescued by the police: ‘horror scene’

A policeman who was not on duty and who earlier in the evening had taken a photo with the soccer star, must have stepped in.

– It was a horror scene. ‘I would not wish this to anyone,’ says the player’s father, Emerson Aparcido Leyte de Souza, who was also present.

It was said that 28 rounds were fired – 17 by the robber and 9 by the police – one of which hit the offender in the back. He is now cared for in hospital without life-threatening injuries.

Thank the police

Emerson posted a photo he took with the police on Instagram.

“God sends angels to earth, and I get proof of that every day. This person, whom I call an angel, risked his life for my life.” Emerson writes and continues:

“I am forever grateful to you, you are a great reason for me standing here today. Thank you thank you thank you.” he is writing.
