In Tuesday’s practice, newcomer Emil Holm, 22, took a spot in a potential starting game against Mexico.
Two years ago, he was not a regular at IFK in Gothenburg. But after a successful time in Denmark’s Sönderjyske, Emil Holm moved to Spezia this summer.
The right-back has stormed into Serie A with his bold stance and according to Italian media reports, Juventus and Ajax have their eye on the Swede.
Now it looks like he’s ready to take the next big step.
At national team training in Spain’s Girona on Tuesday afternoon, Hulme took his place on the right in a potential defensive line formed with Emil Hulme, Isak Henn, Victor Nilsson Lindelof and Ludwig Augustinsson.
At the top, Victor Geocris and Anthony Elanga formed an attacking duo, while national team captain Jan Andersson tested various combinations in midfield.
Victor Clison and Christopher Olson were injured and completed Tuesday’s training on the sidelines. They won’t start against Mexico.
Joel Anderson, the right back of the Jutland midfielder, is ill and did not make it to the national team meeting in Spain.
