Emil Pettersson from Timrås celebrates victory over Modo by changing diapers

Timro. Timra defeated Modo 4-2.

But how do you actually celebrate after winning the Battle of Västernorrland on Saturday night?

“You can go home, change the diaper, lie down and sleep,” says Emil Peterson.

Emil Peterson had a lovely day at the office.

In the rivals’ first meeting of the season with Modo, Timråstjärnan ensured a 1–1 draw at half-time. He later followed up by sending a beautiful pass to Robin Hansel that made the final score 4-2.

– It was great fun and a wonderful atmosphere, and the audience is invited to that, which is wonderful. “I’m glad we were able to come back and win for them,” Peterson says.

For you as Timråit – what does meeting Modo mean?

– They are fun matches, of course. It’s something extra. They came out great and kept the game going for ten to twelve minutes. But we show mental strength so that we don’t give up more and then we take charge and become the better team.

We hope brother congratulates

Pettersson is usually in contact with his younger brother, NHL star Elias Pettersson, regarding Timrå’s games.

Do you receive any congratulations from brother?

– I sure hope so, haha.

– He usually contacts us after matches and asks us what we are doing or congratulates us.

Diaper changes are waiting for you

A 4-2 win over one of their worst opponents was a good start Saturday night for Emil Pettersson and his teammates. But the striker doesn’t seem to be celebrating too much.

-He says he’ll come home, change diapers and go to sleep.
