Whether the Swede is given permission to join Frank Lampard’s gang will depend on United’s activity during the January window.
Ten Hag: “We have good players”
Erik ten Hag points out that there is no shortage of options in attacking situations.
– I know we have good players and many clubs will show interest in players who don’t play much for us, says the coach.
– But we need our team. I would say we need breadth in the team, especially up front.
Man United missed out on Cody Gakow – who joined Liverpool – but have been linked with a host of other players including Youssouf Moukoko (Dortmund), Marcus Thuram (Mönchengladbach) and Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix.
Lampard: “You can make an impression”
Everton are 15th in the table and risk being drawn into the battle for the bottom. Lampard realizes that January is a golden opportunity to strengthen the team enough to avoid relegation.
I hope we can bring in players who make a big impression. It’s important we bring in players who can make an impression right away, says Lampard after the Man City draw.
