Fans threatened to take off their shirts – ‘violent psychopath’

The unrest continued even after this weekend’s derby between Copenhagen and Brondby.

During a train trip, fans were threatened to take off their shirts.

– A group of violent psychopaths, SPD legal representative Bjorn Brandenburg tells Danish BT.

There was chaos in the derby between FC Copenhagen and Brondby IF on Sunday, and the turmoil continued even after the last sign of the match.

A video is now circulating on social media of an FCK fan in the match jersey sitting on a train after the match. Then another man in a Bröndby jacket approached the supporter and shouted:

“Take off that damn shirt, or I’ll break you,” said the menacing Ekstrabladet.

Something he allegedly threatened with two other Copenhagen supporters on the same train.

The man allegedly took the three shirts off the train, tore them apart and then threw them onto the track.

‘Violent psychopath’

It caused a lot of outrage on social media and even the country’s politicians responded to the video.

– I think it’s scary to watch this video. “You simply can’t get on the train home after the football game without having to be looked after and threatened by a group of violent psychopaths,” SPD legal representative Bjorn Brandenburg wrote in a text message to Danish BT.

FC Copenhagen won the derby this week against Brondby 4-1.

Fundraising has begun to give the three Copenhagen fans a new match jersey, something that Bröndby supporters also took part in.

The goal was to collect 5,000 SEK – and this was achieved after only five minutes.

– There are many of us who could meet and create an initiative like this. I was ashamed to be a Bröndby fan, but now I’ll go so far as to say I’m proud when something like this works, says Rasmus Augusten, a Bröndby fan for BT.

Even Brett Bagger of the conservative Danish party is upset by the incident.

What we see in the video has nothing to do with football. It is humiliating, disgusting, and punishable. The perpetrator must be found, he must be punished and he must be banned from entering the stadium and watching football, she tells BT.
