Färjestad beat Luleå 3-1 and imposed the seventh and very crucial final of Sweden’s championship on Thursday.
There were only home wins in the last series between Lulea and Vargistad.
Tonight, the Norrbotten residents had the chance to secure the club’s first gold in the Swedish Championship in 26 years, and so chose to fly to Karlstad already yesterday, and not during match day as before, to break the pattern.
But it didn’t help much.
Färjestad appears to be doing very well at home in the Swedish Championship qualifiers and claiming his ninth (!) direct victory.
Already 12.28 in the match, the score was 2-0 for the Färjestad team. That’s after Theodor Linstrom sent his first puck on goal that slid high behind concealer Joel Lacinante.

Then Linus Johansson was superb when receiving Daniel Weckstein’s pass, he waited for Lulia’s keeper before putting the disc into an open cage.

The transition period was goalless, but it still contained serious failures.
Lulia secured a superb position in the match again when Brendan Scheinnemann got a fully open goal from close range – but he hit the post.

Less than five minutes before the end of the match, Einar Emanuelsson caught the ball behind the extended goal line and shot it across the back of Färjestad goalkeeper Dominik Furch.
Emanuelson’s fifth (!) final goal is suddenly set for the very exciting final minutes.
But shortly after the reduction goal, Lulia withdrew – and Vargstad scored 3-1 (Per Oslund) in the numerical superiority that followed.
This was also the end result, and Aslund paid tribute to the fans in the last home game of the season.

Thus, a seventh and very decisive final of the Swedish championship awaits. It will take place on Thursday, 7.30pm, at the Coop Norrbotten Arena in Luleå.
