The gold celebration for the Färjestad players isn’t over.
It continued on Friday, and on the main square in Karlstad the fans greeted their golden champions.
– What I dreamed of since I was little, says Carlstadsson Gustav Rydal.
Färjestad takes gold at the Swedish Championships in Lulea.
Since then, the players have celebrated to the fullest and it is not over yet.
– We celebrated in the locker room yesterday and then flew home. Then we went to the arena in Karlstad and had a little party there too. I was probably home around 6 this morning and had to sleep a few hours before it was time to continue the party, she says. Joachim Nygaard.
Pub tour with fans
When Sportbladet arrives in Nygård, he and the rest of the team sit in Färjestad’s locker room at the Löfberg Arena and charge a fee before meeting the fans in the arena.
– We are checking the last 10 minutes of the match yesterday and soon we will take the bus to the square to meet all the fans. I don’t really know how that works because I’ve never been there before, but it was understood that this was the most wonderful meeting ever with all the fans on the field and celebrating properly, he said.
Karlstadsson Gustaf Rydal is also looking forward to Friday’s celebration.
– That’s a little why you play. The ultimate goal of being able to stand in front of a crowded plaza is what I dreamed of since I was little. It’s the most powerful thing you can try and I feel so comfortable being from Karlstad. He says being able to do that would be pretty cool.
Rydahl, just like Nygård, came home late after Thursday’s celebration.
– I was tired after the game, it was hard to play so it took a lot of effort. But it was getting late.
After partying in the square, a golden dinner awaits and then a pub crawl with fans of Färjestads.
“We want to celebrate with all the fans who participated and raise the team from the first match,” says Niklas Ericsson, Sales Director at Färjestad BK Until NWT.
“He’s been carrying the box all day.”
Before evening, Gustav Rydahl has a plan ready for the fellow who will follow him to have a good celebration.
Linus Johansson is captain so I follow him. Everyone does as they say, so follow Linus and that might be fine. He says it will be very fun to have fun now for a few days.
On the other hand, Joachim Nygaard was having a terrible day.
“Adam Jenning seems so grumpy, he’s kept a box here all day, so you’ll probably follow him tonight,” he says.
