Felicia Rogic has become the first player to leave force-threatened Eskilstuna United.
The ready-to-go club symbol goes to Norway’s Vålerengen.
– He suits me as a player, Rogic tells Eskilstuna United’s website.
The Licensing Board’s decision can still be appealed, but on Monday, Eskilstuna United received a shocking letter. The club does not obtain an elite license and is relegated from the Women’s League to the Elite League next season.
The day after the announcement, star striker Felicia Rogic, who had been wearing the team’s captain’s armband, would depart.
“The most important thing about the decision is that it suits me as a footballer and my sporting ambitions,” Rogic tells Eskilstuna.

Eskilstuna United have written that Felicia Rogic is leaving after playing 144 matches for the club in the Women’s League. He also wrote that she made the decision before announcing the elite license.
– I didn’t give my last effort at Eskilstuna United, although next time he might not be on the field, says Rogic.
Tuesday was a special day for Felicia Rogic as she was also selected for the national team tour in January.
– It was a shock. She says it’s not something I dreamed of and it’s not something I thought would happen when I was 29.

Federation captain Peter Gerhardson explained at Tuesday’s press conference why Rogic was included in the squad.
