Former Södertälje SK player Aaron Luschuk saw the club

Former SSK player outings

Canadian Aaron Lochok joined Södertälje SK in December.

Two months later, the two parties breached the agreement.

– Before the transfer deadline, they came to me and said I didn’t play the role they wanted, says Luchuk on the On The E podcast.

Aaron Lowschuk, 26, from Canada, has had a turbulent time in Europe, with three clubs in one year.

The residency began in the Italian Pusteral before he went to Södertälje in December.

The time in Södertälje was short. After two months at the club, the management came to Lucek shortly before the transfer deadline and said he had not played the role SSK wanted.

– They wanted a second over six feet (183 cm) tall and unfortunately I can’t grow. I’m 5’10” (178cm) and I thought ‘you guys knew that when you fell for me’. So it was weird and unexpected, says Luchuk on the On The E podcast.

“Very strange”

After his sudden exit from SSK, Luchuk feels no sympathy for the club.

– They really fought to get up in the SHL, that was their big goal, and they did anything to get there. “And I don’t feel bad that they didn’t get there last year,” he says.

Luchuk changed SSK to Östersund IK and finished the season in the north. There, the upper battle was replaced by the lower battle.

— which was a completely different dynamic, which was very strange. But it’s European hockey, and they celebrated (not being relegated) like we won the league, which seemed very strange. But it was a nice way to end the year, to end a very bad year.
