Four coaches suspended in the American Women’s League after they were subjected to sexual harassment

Four coaches have been suspended for life.

This is the result of the 14-month investigation into emotional abuse and sexual harassment in the American Women’s Soccer League.

The independent investigation, commissioned by the United States Soccer Federation, was conducted in the wake of the Major League Soccer scandals.

After Sinead Farrelly and Mana Chim, two former major league players, filed allegations of sexual harassment and coercion earlier in their careers under head coach Paul Riley, the league’s problems became known.

Riley denied the allegations, but his club, the North Carolina Braves, was fired, and league commissioner Lisa Bird resigned.

But problems were rife and before the end of that season, five out of ten coaches in the National Football League had either resigned or been fired following allegations.

The investigation lasted 14 months and resulted in four coaches being suspended for life. Riley, Christy Holly, Rory Dames and Richie Burke.

Seven other individuals also face suspension or need to admit wrongdoing and accept responsibility for improper conduct before they can be employed by the NWSL again.

The NWSL wrote on its website that its league organization is being fined at least $1 million, just over 10 million kroner, and needs to undergo a comprehensive review of its operations.
